TCF Test

TCF is a French-language test administered by the French Ministry of Education. The TCF French language test (Test de Connaissance du Français) is designed by France Education International (FEI) and recognized by the French Ministry of Education for non-native speakers who have their level of proficiency.


Generally, TCF applicants are required to attend one of the six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, or C2) on a scale determined by the Council of Europe. TCF results are accurate indicators of expertise. Each candidate is given a certificate valid for two years.

Eligibility Requirements For TCF Test

TCF French Language Test Format TCF has 76 items of multiple-choice tests that cover reading comprehension, knowledge of grammatical structure, and auditory comprehension. In addition, some optional exams for written and voice expression are included in the TCF test. Therefore, it’s essential to take a TCF preparation course to get a high score on the test.
